Important Beach / Estuary Swimming Information
- Pukehina beach can have strong Rips (currents) so it is advised to swim between the flags near Surf Lifesaving Club
- Pukehina Estuary can have strong tidal currents in the main channels during mid-tides
- All boats/jet skis must follow Coastguard rules & guidelines for Bar Crossings, 5 Knot rules, and lifejackets
